G Adventures' refurbished Expedition is a 102-metre, Ice Class 1A polar ship carrying a maximum of 128 guests. Its small-group setup, 14 expedition guides and Zodiac program are designed to put guests ashore frequently when conditions permit, with an informal community atmosphere rather than a traditional luxury-cruise format.
